Ayurveda: The Science of Life
Ayurveda is said to be the world’s most ancient natural health care system. This timeless, practical knowledge promotes prevention, revitalisation, rejuvenation and cure in a natural way.
The goal of Ayurveda is to achieve perfect health and long life, by enlivening the inner intelligence of your body. Perfect health is experienced when mind, body and environment are in complete harmony.
Maharishi AyurVeda
For 30 years Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the founder of Transcendental Meditation, worked with the world’s foremost Ayurvedic physicians to restore this age-old natural health care system to its most complete and integrated form.
Maharishi AyurVeda clarifies the central importance of the mind-body relationship for health and provides a wide range of time-honoured practical techniques to enliven powerful natural healing responses in both mind and body.
Doctors around the world are now convinced of the effectiveness of Maharishi Ayurveda, which sees perfect health as man’s natural state. Maharishi AyurVeda recognises no limits to the healing potential inherent within our body.
Maharishi Marma Therapy
Marma Therapy is the art of treating very special vital points on the human body and is one of the greatest healing secrets of Ayurveda. It can be used to detoxify the body, to strengthen and revitalise, for rejuvenation and relaxation, and to release blocked energy.
Through these energy points we can stimulate the function of internal organs, strengthen self-healing power, and harmonise mind and body. It can help improve eyesight, balance the digestive system, alleviate headaches, reduce tension, and alleviate or cure many everyday complaints.
This holistic treatment covers a wide spectrum of applications: from simple self-treatment to elaborate clinical therapy, by specially trained therapists.
In South India, Marma Therapy is extensively used as an independent treatment. Yet almost all Ayurvedic treatments include the treatment of marmas, as they are key points in the body’s intelligence and affect both body and mind. Such treatments are applied using massage and oil applications, herbal and heat packs, and cleansing treatments.
