Liz learned Transcendental Meditation in 1967 and gained so much from the technique that in January 1970 went to Rishikesh, India to train under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to become a teacher.
She has been an accredited teacher of TM since April 1970 in Watford, Harrow, and Hampshire since 1973 on returning from working for Maharishi in Europe, at his invitation. Today she runs the Hampshire TM Centre.
The Hampshire TM Centre offers free talks on Transcendental Meditation which are normally held regularly in Bordon and Winchester. At the moment, however they are by Zoom. Please see details below. There are now two different ways of learning the technique. The first is face to face on the day of learning, then the use of a teaching app followed by a link with the teacher in the evening for a meditation check. The knowledge is the same for both ways of learning. The traditional way consists of four 1.5 hour sessions, over four consecutive days, then one 10 days later with a free six month course which is recommended. At the moment, however, courses will be at a later date.
In the future for those travelling from further afield, there is plenty of local accommodation available in and around Bordon for the Bordon talks, ranging from B&Bs (various price range including 5 star) and country inns.
